Why us
Measure twice, cut once
We prevent print problem before they start. In our 35 years of managing high-end, custom print projects, we've seen it all: from mismatched inks to frayed book corners, from upside down artwork, to die-cuts that left more paper in the trash can than on the page. We recognize potential problems long before you receive a proof. We work tirelessly with our press experts to come up with solutions and alternatives, testing them until they're just right. Often times our clients don't even realize what went into delivering a perfectly smooth cover or immaculately cut edge. They're just happy that their creation was delivered as designed on time and at the quoted price (even if we had to rush order that particular 160lb DTC paper from the millin Wyoming).

Value engineering
Spirit Print is constantly investigating new technologies and trends in print to save our clients time and money. And we can get ingenious when we need to. Sometimes that means negotiating with paper mills for discounted rates or closeout papers. Other times it entails producing the covers of a book on an offset press while printing the internal pages digitally. When a client wants the grace and sheen that a delicate gold foil stamp can offer, but without the higher price tag, we can utilize a brilliant new form of digital printing that can mimic foil stamping, spot-UV coatings, and even 3D-like textures. Being upfront with us about cost concerns or limitations allows us to grind out the best options.
Workflows guided by technology
Spirit Print wants to make the production process as simple, secure and transparent as possible. So we make it as easy as pie:
Digital: it's the Spirit of the Times.
- Upload files through our secure WeTransfer process
- Get online quotes and approve them directly from your email
- Easily pay your invoices via cheque, EMT, credit card or PayPal
Accountability
No matter how big or small your project, you get a dedicated Team Spirit Project Manager to oversee your design. And that manager brings just that: accountability. Spirit Print doesn't have salespeople, so your job is always handled by your Project Manager from the first quote, to the final delivery. You won't hear excuses from us about what a pressman said or an error made by the quoting department. Our Project Managers have years of print execution experience and are on the press floor proofing colours and making sure the blades are changed on the cutter before your work goes through to ensure the cleanest edges on your project. It is your Project Manager responsibility and pleasure to make sure that we deliver what we guaranteed at the price and timelines we promised. Every project gets this level of oversight and assurance and we most definitely sweat the small stuff.
Speed of service
Deadlines. Spirit Print has spent the better part of three decades respecting and exceeding our clients deadlines. We work with you to ensure that your project is going to be delivered when you need it and at a level of quality that surpasses your expectations. We also micromanage every step of the printing process so that you don't have to. However, try as we might, we cannot bend time. So deadlines matter, for you and us. We promise that we will always be realistic with our timelines. If something can be done, we will do it or suggest an alternative solution.
We never say never
Our business is rooted in working with creative folks. And with creativity, comes big ideas. If we've learned anything over the years, its that designers don't like to hear the word no. And we don't like to use it. A die cut for 12 pt font? Sure, we say! Artwork on both sides of a sticky notepad? We have just the trick! Our pressmen are like mad scientists: they love experimenting, innovating and solving print puzzles. Bring your big ideas; leave the execution to us.
